A narrow dirt trail winding through a dense forest with tall pine trees and lush green undergrowth.

If you’re here, you’re probably feeling exhausted.

You’ve been keeping it together on the outside, but underneath is a tangle of emotions that never quite settles. You’re tired of the anxiety spirals, the days when getting out of bed feels impossible, and the sense that you’re just going through the motions. Maybe there’s a part of you that keeps saying you should have figured this out by now. You just want to understand what’s happened, how you got here, and how to find your way back to yourself.

You want to feel like yourself again.

To wake up with a little more lightness. To feel steady, grounded, and at ease in your own skin. To have moments of real connection — where you can laugh freely, breathe deeply, and feel present in your life instead of watching it from the sidelines.

I get it, because I’ve been there.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to do this alone. Therapy can help you untangle what’s been weighing you down, make sense of your emotions, and rediscover a version of yourself that feels whole, capable, and alive again. Healing doesn’t mean “fixing” yourself — it means coming home to who you truly are.

How I can help

I specialize in working with the intersections of trauma (particularly CPTSD), depression, anxiety, and neurodivergence. I have spent over a decade studying trauma and have 12 years of experience working in the mental health field. My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, interpersonal neurobiology/attachment theory, anti-oppressive care, and deep respect for your nervous system’s wisdom. I offer a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, unpack what’s going on, and be deeply seen and heard. Together, we’ll connect the dots between your past and present, so you can begin to create a life that feels worth living.

Hello, I’m Stephanie

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor located in the Cowichan Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island. I offer online therapy across Canada and in person at my office in Duncan for adults struggling with trauma, CPTSD, anxiety, depression, and a broad range of other challenges. I have spent over a decade studying trauma and specialize in using Internal Family Systems (parts work) and somatic approaches to gently heal trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic dysregulation. Most of my clients have spent years managing their symptoms without realizing that their body was responding to past experiences of trauma, abuse or neglect. Together we can start to connect the dots, and finally soften the symptoms that have been controlling your life.

I have a Master's degree in Counselling and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and have been working in the mental health field for the past 12 years in hospitals, schools, non-profits, and interdisciplinary clinics. Learn more about me and my approach here.
